Janeese Lewis George Releases First TV Ad of Democratic Primary

Lewis George’s Ad Focuses on Lowering Costs and Standing Up To Donald Trump

Washington, DC Today, Councilmember Janeese Lewis George launched her first television ad ahead of the June 16 Primary Election, becoming the first campaign to go on air.

The ad, titled “Worth Fighting For,” outlines Janeese’s forward-looking agenda focused on public safety, affordability, and reigning in Trump and ICE’s takeover of our city. The spot will air across broadcast and cable networks throughout the District and on digital platforms as part of a significant early media buy.

“In a moment when too many Washingtonians feel left behind, I’m running for Mayor with a clear plan to make our city safer, more affordable, and more accountable,” said Janeese Lewis George. “This campaign is about delivering real results for working families, and we’re proud to be getting that message out early to voters across all eight wards.”

Lewis George currently represents Ward 4 on the DC Council, where she has led the charge on lowering housing costs and raising wages for working people. She has earned the endorsement of DC’s first elected Attorney General Karl Racine, At-Large Councilmember Robert White, Ward 1 Councilmember Brianne Nadeau, Ward 6 Councilmember Charles Allen, former Ward 7 Councilmember Yvette Alexander, Former Ward 6 Councilmember Tommy Wells, and 21 local unions.
