DC Should Work
for Everyone
Meet Janeese
The daughter of a union postal worker, Janeese Lewis George is a third-generation Washingtonian who was raised in Ward 4, where she serves as Councilmember and lives with her husband Kyle and son Pierce. Janeese fights for working families in DC because she knows firsthand what working people in DC are up against. As Mayor, Janeese will continue to side with working people to make DC safe and affordable, and a place where government works for residents in all eight Wards.
People-First Platform
Janeese Lewis George is running for DC mayor because she knows DC is too expensive, from housing to childcare. She too has felt the squeeze and is ready to do something about it. Janeese will work with anyone to improve the lives of the people in DC, and she will stand up to anyone who does harm to our residents.
