Good Jobs For All
Lewis George will leverage partnerships with unions and universities to create good jobs that the city needs like teachers, childcare workers, nurses, and mental health workers. She will create real pipelines and offer opportunities to the people who need them like young people, students graduating college, returning citizens, and laid-off federal workers.
She will build on the success of the Marion Barry Summer Youth Employment Program by creating year-round opportunities for full-time paid work and making workforce programs a real part of the pipeline to careers. She will expand vocational and technical education.
